What this site collects, which is almost nothing, and what changes if that ever changes.
The short version
This site has no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, no comment box and no tracking. It asks you for nothing and stores nothing about you.
What is unavoidable
The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request information — your IP address, browser type and the page requested — in order to deliver the page and protect the site from attack. That is a function of how the web works rather than a choice this site makes, and the data is not used to build any profile of you, is not sold, and is not shared with advertisers.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies. If you switch between dark and light mode, that preference is stored in your own browser, on your own device. It never reaches us.
Analytics and advertising
There are currently no third-party analytics scripts and no advertising on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change is made, and it will say precisely what is collected and by whom.
If accounts are added later
A discussion layer is planned for this site. Accounts would mean collecting personal data, which brings India’s Digital Personal Data Protection regime into play. Nothing of that kind will be introduced without this page being rewritten first to set out what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.
